The Amplifier is a intermediate device assembly, fuel, intermediate device- integral part of the fuel quantity indicating system and the interface between fuel tank probes and cockpit indicator. Material: Non-corrosive metal alloy with various electronic components. Approx. Size 7.0 inches nominal; 2 inches nominal; 5.88 inches nominal. Function: processes fuel quantity. Application: A10. I.A.W. current drawings. Multi-Year contract. Minimum Order Quantity 15ea. Maximum Order Quantity 146ea. First Year estimated quantity 146ea, Second Year estimated quantity 15ea, Third Year estimated quantity 15ea. Maximum Three Year Quantity 261ea. Destn: Tinker AFB OK 73145-3032. Delivery: 15 ea beginning August 2007. The approximate issue date of solicitation will be 1 March 2007. The anticipated award date is May 2007.. Qualification requirements: Due to the complexity and criticality of this part, only actual manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing required by the original company responsible for the design can be considered approved sources for this design, or manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing on items determined by the Government to be similar in complexity and criticality can be considered approved sources for this item. The Government is not required to delay award of the contract pending source approval. Source approval contact: OC-ALC/SB, Source Development Office, 3001 Staff Drive, Suite 1AG85A, Tinker AFB OK 73145. If Source Approval request is not completed by the time of contract award, the Source Approval request will be retained for Source Approval on future awards. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestors are acceptable. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation, which will be considered. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with Shadin LP. -Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty five-days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. Written quotations are required. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source selection process.
