Description

The U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado has a requirement to service approximately 600 fire extinguishers of various types and sizes. The service includes periodic maintenance, hydro testing, refill and recharge. The duration is one year from time of award, or time of award to start of new base-wide service contract, whichever is first. Over a 1-year period, the Government estimates placing 4 service calls for those extinguishers that are due at that time. The contractor provides supervision, trained personnel, vehicles, equipment, tools, materials, parts and other items or services as necessary. At least 2 Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) with separate contractors will be established. The BPA is a method of fulfilling anticipated repetitive services with more than one contractor where the exact time, quantity and type of service is not currently known. Over time, work will be distributed between BPAs. Offerors will submit price schedules for all possible services of which the lowest priced offers will be incorporated into BPAs. Solicitation will be restricted as a total small business set-aside. Applicable NAICS code is 423990. Contractors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and On-Line Representations and Certifications (ORCA).
