- The National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Institute Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) has a requirement to procure the following items: (1) Cyrotransfer single tilt holder with workstation and tools; (2) SmartSet Cold Stage Controller with Cable; (3) Turbo Pumping Station, includes work column, CC gauge tube, one TEM holder module and one shut-off valve and (4) TEM Holder Module. The technical requirements are: (a) Cryo-holder to maintain -170 degree C for several hours; (b) Compatible with Gatan controllers and pumps presently in the Lab; (c) Capable of +/- 70 degree tilt and (d) Compatible with a Tecnai G2 F20 Twin microscope. Award will be based on best value. This is not set aside for small business. All responsible vendors that are capable of providing the Government with the items that are listed above may request a copy of the Request for Quote (RFQ) in writing or by FAX to 301-480-4226 to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. It is anticipated that RFQ NIH-NIDDK-07-178 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date is March 12, 2007. Quotations must be submitted in writing to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, 6707 Democracy Blvd., Room 774C, Bethesda, MD 20817 Attention: Tina Robinson. FAX quotations must contain offerors name, address, telephone number and fax number. FAX quotations will be accepted if dated and signed by an authorized company representative.
