- Description
- Bagram Air Field, in Afghanistan, is interested in contracting with a company to provide assistance to Afghanistan Companies working on construction projects. Currently we are looking for master craftsmen, in their field, to provide oversight and training to apprentices (Afghan workers). We would require that you provide us with your employee's proper documentation as to their skill and a simple resume, if we post a formal solicitation. The basic concept of the contract would include, but definitely not limited to; an electrician, a plumber, a HVAC trainer, horizontal flatwork (paving) trainer, and a structural (carpentry, welding, steel framing) instructor. The trainers would not be performing the building, they would be on site assisting and advising the Afghanistan workers. Translators and security can be provided. The idea behind this posting is to see if there is a market for this type of work. Please send me an email at david.j.ely@afghan.swa.army.mil if your company would be interested in bidding on a contract of this type. Please don't send emails with a lot of questions about the work just yet. If we find that there is adequate competition, then we will post a formal request for quote.
