Description

The Government has a requirement for Thermal Weapon Sights (TWS). The TWS is a man portable infrared imaging and sighting device for surveillance and fire control on individual and crew served weapons. This requirement will be competed on a full and open basis with the anticipation of making two awards. The Governments award decision will be made on a best value basis. The contracts will be firm fixed price, indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity (ID IQ) for Light Weapon Thermal Sights (LWTS), Medium Weapon Thermal Sights (MWTS), Heavy Weapon Thermal Sights (HWTS), associated spares and associated Thermal Imaging Modules (TIMs) available for a total contract period of sixty months. It is anticipated th e contracts will have a minimum of 5,000 TWS and a maximum of 144,000 TWS. The official Request for Proposal (RFP) will be posted in March 2007 on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website located at the following address: https//:acquisition.army.mil. The online version of the RFP will include all documents of the solicita tion package. No hard copy of this RFP will be issued. Amendments, if any, will be posted at the same location as the solicitation. It is the responsibility of those responding to the solicitation to obtain all amendments and/or other applicable document s. Draft copies of the specifications for the TWS and TIM, Statement of Work, and Sections L and M are currently posted on the ASFI website under W91CRBTWSSPEC.
