- The Contracting Department, Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Norfolk, VA, 23511-3392 intends to negotiate a sole source Firm Fixed Price contract and will utilize procedures under FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items with Bard Brachytherapy Inc., 8195 Industrial Blvd NE, Covington, GA 30014 for Naval Medical Center, 620 John Paul Jones Circle, Portsmouth, VA 23708. The Contractor shall provide three hundred eighty (380) radioactive Brachytherapy Source I-125 seeds or one thousand four hundred twenty five (1425) TheraSeed Pd-103 seeds on the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP) compound, conforming to all policies of the NMCP Radiation Safety Program and all applicable Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations governing transportation and handling of radioactive materials. The period of performance for the Base Year is 01 March 2007 and end 28 February 2008 plus four ? one year options. A c omplete RFQ package will be available on or about 16 February 2007 by downloading the documents at the Neco Website as follows: http:// www.neco.navy.mil. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 325411 and the small business size is 750 employees. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above site; this office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting an offer, the vendor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make a contractor ineligible for award.
