Description
MARKET RESEARCH AND SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. The Government is issuing the sources sought announcement as part of a market research effort to obtain information on companies who can provide the expertise needed for engineering and test support for multiple Joint Tactical Common Operational Picture (COP) Workstation (JTCW) Developmental Test (DT) events at Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA), Camp Pendleton, CA from April to October 2007, in support of a fielding decision for the Joint Tactical Common Operational Picture (COP) Workstation (JTCW) Developmental Test (DT) 1.0 in Sep 07. MCTSSA is the lead agency for the DT events. This is a short-fuse effort with a large scope. The types of support required are as follows: Subject Matter Expertise (SME) on participating systems, system engineers to participate in requirements analysis and translate test objectives to test cases, test documentation writers (test plan, procedures, report), and system oper ators. It is possible that these test events could be run in parallel as a risk mitigation to schedule slippages with the exception that the last DT is an overarching test event and can not be run until the first three DTs are completed. The last test event will require SME support from the previous DTs. The expertise is needed in the area of Common Aviation Command and Control Systems (CAC2S), Link-16, Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data Systems (AFATDS), Command and Control Personal Computer Program (C2PC), Effects Management Tool (EMT), The Data Handler (DH)/Army?s Publish and Subscribe Server (PASS). For a more in-depth requirements go to www.mctssa.usmc.mil under Contracting Opportunities. If your company can provide a portion or any of the expertise required, please submit your capabilities and experience via email to susan.humann@usmc.mil or fax to 760-725-2514. The point of contract for information regarding this market research is Susan Humann at (760) 72 5-2478. This sources sought synopsis does not constitute an Invitatio n for Bids (IFB), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the Government to issue a formal solicitation. Any costs incurred by interested companies in response to this announcement or incurred for participation will NOT be reimbursed. All information marked as proprietary information will be safeguarded to prevent disclosure to non-governmental personnel and entities. Your interest in this response is appreciated
