Description

The renovation of Building 13B project, located at the National Institutes of Health?s (N.I.H.) Rocky Mountain Laboratories (R.M.L.) in Hamilton, MT, includes interior remodel of one of 4 laboratory suites, installation of a central supply air handling unit, and structural changes to provide enclosed space on the building roof to enclose the air handler. The laboratory suite being remodeled consists of 4 rooms and an overall size of approximately 1,400 gsf and includes wall changes, casework changes and cutting and patching of roof (single ply membrane) and floor (concrete slab on grade). The work also includes demolition and disposal of existing HVAC equipment. The work roughly consists of 45% mechanical, 17% electrical, and 38% general construction including structural, casework, and finishes. The general dollar magnitude of the project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This proposed acquisition is being conducted by the Indian Health Service on behalf of the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and will be conducted as an unrestricted sealed bid pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program.
