Description
The United States Army Communications Electronics and Life Cycle Management Command (CE LCMC) intends to award a contract on a non-competitive basis under the Authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, per J&A Con trol Number 06-131, to General Dynamics Robotic Systems, Inc. (GDRS), 1234 Tech Court, Westminster, MD 21157-3029. The proposed award will be for a five-year Firm-Fixed-Price/Time and Materials Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract for up to $70 M of Mobile Detection Assessment Response Systems (MDARSs), spare parts, training, and technical services. The MDARS is a robotic system that provides the capability to conduct semi-autonomous random patrols and surveillance activities, including barrier assessments and theft detection functions. It is intended for use in general storage yards, depots, arms, ammunition, and explosives (AA&E) storage areas, air fields, rail yards, and port facilities. The MDARS autonomously conducts surveillance activitie s that include checking for intruders, remotely investigating alarm sources, conducting lock interrogations, and assessing facility barriers, such as the doors of AA&E storage bunkers.
