Description

The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the award of a construction contract for Water Infiltration Repairs for Scott and Grant Barracks (hereinafter referred to as Cadet Barracks) at th e United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. Work includes, but is not limited to, a new roof for the Cadet Barracks, asbestos abatement, and building fa?ade repairs, including: Porch repairs, window/door repairs, and masonry repairs. The e stimated project cost is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. The selected contractor must complete the entire work ready for use no later than 365 calendar days after the date the contractor receives the Notice to Proceed. The time stated for completion shal l include the final cleanup of the premises. If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified in the contract, or any extension, the contractor shall pay to the Government liquidated damages in the amount of $535.00 per diem. This p rocurement is being solicited as a 100% set-aside for firms registered with the Small Business Administration (SBA) as a Section 8(a) business, in New York or New Jersey. The media selected for the issuance of solicitations and amendments shall solely be at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, the media u tilized for this project are the Internet and CD-ROM.
