Description
SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING DRAWINGS, WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE FEDTEDS WEBSITE (www.fedteds.gov). The Walla Walla District Corps of Engineers will be conducting a pilot program to supplement nutrients in Dworshak Reservoir via applications of l iquid fertilizers. This program is to enhance the productivity of the aquatic environment of both the reservoir and tributaries through nutrient enrichment. Dworshak Dam is located on the North Fork Clearwater River near Ahsahka, Idaho. Dworshak Dam back s up a large reservoir, over 650 feet deep, extending upstream approximately 55 miles. The goal of the pilot program is to balance the nutrient levels in Dworshak Reservoir through the addition of liquid fertilizers. The Contractor shall provide assistan ce to the Corps in managing the nutrient supplementation pilot program. Work activities contained in this contract include: updating fertilization prescription tables; assisting project personnel in developing an application plan and in making the first a pplication; developing record keeping system; reviewing in-season water quality monitoring data; recommending in-season changes to application quantities and methods; preparing annual reports summarizing the supplementation efforts each year of the program ; and providing recommendations for each year of the program. This contract is for one base contract year and for 4 optional years to be exercised at the Governments discretion. ADMIN INFO: The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541690. Solicitation is 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. For the purposes of procurement, a concern is considered a small business if its annual average gross income does not ex ceed $6.5 million.
