Description
NAICS Code: 813410 Title: "The U.S. Conference of Mayors and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency ENERGY STAR Program Collaboration" Posting Date: February 13, 2007 Procurement Office: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Administrative Contract Service Center (3803R), 1200 Pennsylvania Ave., NW Washington, DC 20460 Response Date: February 15, 2007 THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT, NOT A RFQ The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Air and Radiation (OAR), Office of Atmospheric Programs (OAP), Climate Protection Partnership Division (CPPD), ENERGY STAR Residential Branch (ESRB) intends to award a sole source fixed-price purchase order under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures to U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM) in Washington, D.C. The purpose of this acquisition is to integrate ENERGY STAR tools and resources into the services the USCM provides and promote the ENERGY STAR Challenge, to a network of member mayors, as a way to help cities meet their energy and environmental goals. The contractor will promote the EPA's ENERGY STAR Challenge and related programs that tie in with the 2030 Challenge objectives and other USCM climate change and energy-related policies. USCM will have a goal of having 50 cities sign onto the Challenge via the ENERGY STAR website. Where appropriate and logistically feasible, the Contractor, with EPA support shall provide training to Mayors or their staff either via conference calls, web-based conferences, or in person during larger USCM meetings. USCM is uniquely qualified to carry out this work because they are the only organization with mayor members representing cities with populations of 30,000 or more, with 1,139 cities represented in their membership. USCM is the official nonpartisan organization of cities this size. The USCM is uniquely qualified to help provide outreach on the ENERGY STAR Challenge since they are already committed to helping cities reduce greenhouse gas emissions through the U.S. Mayors Climate Protection Agreement and the 2030 Challenge. This is not a request for quotation. No contract will awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. All inquires and concerns must be addressed in writing to U.S. EPA, Stacey Wolejko (3803R) 1200 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC 20460, or to facsimile number (202) 565-2560, or sent by email to wolejko.stacey@epa.gov.
