Description
Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army RDECOM Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division, Natick, MA intends to place a Firm Fixed Price, Purchase Order for a quantity of one (1) a MOCON Permatran-W 3/33 SG with Accessories. A determ ination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. The MOCON Permatran-W 3/33 SG for water vapor permeability testing of films and packages, which will link up as a Satellite Module with existing PERMATRAN Master Modules. This module incorporates MOCONs proprietary m odulated infrared sensor and built-in reference test cell. The module will have internal temperature control to permit testing from 10 C to 40 C, as well as an automatic digital film temperature monitor. This module incorporates MOCONs proprietary modu lated infrared sensor and built-in reference test cell. In addition, this module will be linked, as a Satellite Module, with existing Master Modules and software. A MOCON PERMATRAN 3/33 SG is required to continue to generate consistent and reliable data. Prior permeability data has been generated using existing PERMATRAN 3/33 modules; to keep data consistent, identical barrier testing equipment must be used to test future samples.
