Description
The US Army Communications-Electronics Life Cycle Management Command (CE-LCMC) Acquisition Center-Washington, on behalf of the US Army Research, Development and Engineering Command, Communications and Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC), Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD), Countermine Division, Humanitarian Demining Team is seeking sources with extensive experience and comprehensive background in research and development of a combined total field magn etometer and electro-magnetic induction dual-mode sensor. Specifically, the Army is seeking?sources of mature technologies that simultaneously (co-deployed on common platform) deploy commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) total field magnetometers and COTS time- domain pulsed induction sensors for the detection and digital geo-physical mapping of mines and unexploded ordnance (UXO) in support of demining efforts sponsored by the Office of Humanitarian Demining Research and Development (HD R&D) Program. In addition , sources must demonstrate an extensive working knowledge and extensive experience with technologies for both UXO and countermine applications. Responses to this market research should be in the form of a White Paper, not to exceed 15 pages, including a te chnical description of the sources system, the commercial specifications for the major components and any available test results (or if results are not available, the tester organization information, including a point of contact). Test results are not inc luded in the page count. The data received in response to this market survey is for information purposes only and does not mandate or impose requirements. This notice is not a request for proposal and the Government does not intend to pay for information submitted. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation of the information they provide. No contract award will be made on the basis of responses received; however, the information will be used in CERDEC NVESDs assessment of capable s ources. It is desirable that data be received with unlimited rights to the Government. However, we recognize that proprietary data may be included with the information provided. If so, clearly mark such proprietary information and clearly separate it from the unrestricted information as an addendum.? Response to this Sources Sought should be received no later than 30 calendar days from the date of this notice. All requests for further information must be in writing and via email; telephonic requests for a dditional information will not be honored.
