- NASA/KSC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Modification to Firing Room 1, LCC. OPTION #1 ? Convert existing rooms 3P13 and 3P13A into Firing room #1?s communication equipment room. OPTION #2 ? Provide FCUs (Fan Coil Units) to the Common Lobby Area between Firing Room #1 and Firing Room #2 and providing premised wiring along with CFPs (Custom Face Plate). The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 236220 and $31M, respectively. The anticipated release date of the RFP NNK07188038R is on or about March 8, 2007 with an anticipated closing date of on or about April 9, 2007. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 and the effort shall be completed within 320 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 236220 and $31M, respectively. The firm date for receipt of bids or proposals will be stated in the RFP. Drawings will be available from Jim Matrazzo/IDI-081, (321) 867-2851. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. [OMBUDSMAN STATEMENT IS REQUIRED] An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement [with the exception of the specifications and drawings] will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
