Description

Amendment 02: The purpose of this notice is to correct the phone number for Thomas C. Lemole and add Alternate points of contact for this Request for Information. Mr.Lemole's correct number in Belgium is 32-3-540.20.37. The Alternate points of contact for this RFI are: Timothy Riddle (RiddleTS@State.Gov) 32-3-540.20.16 and Cynthia Halprin-Andreotta (HalprinAndreottaC@State.Gov) 32-3-540.20.15 . __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Amendment 01: The purpose of this notice is to correct the voltage/frequency information included in the original RFI. The Department of State seeks to identify sources of American Size/Style appliances with the ability to accept European/African power input (220-240Volts/50 Hertz) without transformers. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ RFI: This notice is a form of market research and serves as a Request for Information Only: The Department of State?s European Logistic Support Office (ELSO) seeks to identify European sources of American style household appliances (Washing Machines, Dryers, Ovens, etc). ELSO currently purchases bulk quantities of American style products, which it receives via sea freight from the United States, and subsequently sells units to American Diplomatic Posts throughout the Europe, Africa, and Asia. In an effort to streamline its supply chain, ELSO seeks major brand name manufacturers with operations in continental Europe that produce appliances destined for the American marketplace (120V 50Hz). Ideally, ELSO hopes to significantly reduce delivery lead times while maintaining the major-brand name quality (Maytag, GE, Whirlpool, etc) that its customers expect and demand.
