- This sources sought notice is issued for the purpose of identifying Suppliers for the purchase of 36 - 2-Way manual ball valves. The Government will be purchasing a quantity of 18 each of 2 sizes with the following specifications: 1. Connector size - 1 ? , Direct Mount SAE Code 61 style Flange connection, Derlin +MoS2 Ball Seats, Viton O-rings, steel handle, pressure range 0-3,000 psi (210 Bar), Carbon Steel construction, zinc plated body. 2. Connector size 2 ? , Direct Mount SAE Code 61 style Fl ange connection, Derlin +MoS2 Ball Seats, Viton O-rings, steel handle, pressure range 0-2,500 psi (160 Bar), Carbon Steel construction, zinc plated body. These valves are used within a hydraulic system that controls the gates that allow water into 6 hydro electric turbines. These valves must be able to be rebuilt and must be able to be locked in the open or closed position. The valves operate in a confined space so size and ease of removing and installing them is a concern. Interested parties shall p rovide complete documentation showing that their products meet the specifications. Responses to this notice shall be submitted to the Point of Contact listed below. The Government does not intend to pay for the information solicited in this notice.
