Description
The United States Department of Labor, Mine Safety and Health Administration?s Office of Educational Policy and Development has a requirement for individuals who have previous experience in monitoring approved instructors for underground coal. This work will be required to be performed in various regions throughout the United States where underground coal mining is conducted. These individuals must demonstrate previous experience and competence in instructor monitoring/evaluation, developing and/or reviewing underground coal training plans and making recommendations to correct deficiencies. Additionally, these individuals will be required to have knowledge of MSHA instructor approval requirements and MSHA?s Form 5000-13, and have the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of training and complete and submit reports to the Directorate of Educational Policy and Development. Individuals selected for this position will be required to demonstrate knowledge and experience of underground coal mining. The individuals selected will be required to travel to various underground coal mines to provide technical assistance to enhance the effectiveness of existing Part 48 training.
