Description
The 375th Contracting Squadron at Scott AFB, IL, intends to award a contract for Transient Alert / En route Aircraft Services. The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, vehicles and labor necessary to perform Transient Alert Services at Scott AFB, Illinois in accordance with standards established by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), the United States Air Force (USAF), and the Air Mobility Command (AMC), Scott AFB IL. The contractor will be responsible for the following major tasks: a) Transient Alert management functions; b) aircraft arrival and departure services; c) aircraft processing services; d) VIP arrival and departure services; e) vehicle and equipment escort service on the airfield; f) emergency services and Special Events. The Scott AFB IL Transient Alert / En route Aircraft Services operates a seven-day a week, excluding some Federal Holidays. Monday through Friday, the operation is open eighteen hours and eleven hours on weekends. The term 'transient aircraft' includes Air Force aircraft, DoD aircraft, commercial aircraft, foreign aircraft, and some private aircraft. A firm-fixed price, base and four (4) one-year option periods contract is contemplated. This action is being considered for 100 percent set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 488190 with a small business size standard of $6,000,000.00. The successful contractor will be selected using Price Performance Tradeoff (PPT) procedures, representing the best value to the Government. A formal Request for Proposal will be issued on or about 02 April 07 on the Federal Business Opportunities web page at http://www.eps.gov. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review the website frequently for any updates/amendments.
