- Grand Teton National Park intends to issue a "best value" contract for the completion of a scientific evaluation of the ecological effects of newly constructed paved multi-use bicycle and pedestrian pathways on free-ranging elk in park areas. Investigation will begin in summer of 2007 with final report to be completed by June 2011. It is anticipated that this project will utilize GPS radio-collar technology. Interested firms must utilize qualified investigators with demonstrated experience in using current GPS technology to evaluate spatial and temporal effects of human developments on Rocky Mountain elk, deer or pronghorn movements during the last 5 years, and have published results of such work in peer reviewed primary scientific literature. The estimated value of the proposed contract is $200,000 to $350,000. The applicable NAICS code is 541620. This is a total HUB Zone Set-Aside. Proposals will be accepted from all qualified applicable firms As this is a Best Value Procurement, award may be made based of other factors than solely the lowest price.
