- THE RESPONSE DATE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO 02/21/2007. A SITE VISIT HAS BEEN SCHEDULED FOR FEBRUARY 7, 2007 AT 10:00A.M. VENDORS THAT ARE INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING IN THE SITE VISIT SHOULD EMAL: GRIFFINV@MAIL.NIH.GOV . ONLY TWO REPRESENTATIVES FROM EACH VENDOR SHOULD ATTEND THE SITE VISIT.The National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) has a requirement to procure services to perform electric fence enclosure repairs to the five-acre enclosure that is completely surrounded by a 14' high electrified net fence that secures the field habitat, and home to no less than 100 free-ranging monkeys. Cross fences that are within the perimeter are also constructed of electrified wire mesh mounted on 14' high pine posts. Deteriation due to weather exposure of the mesh fence and posts requires the repair and replacement of close to 3500 linear feet offence material. This project will require: Replacement of deteriating 4" x 4" x 14' posts; Replacement of 2"x 4" x 18" cross members that the top of the fence is attached to. Tightening or replacement of lag bolts that attached the steel lower fence to the posts. Provide a lift and necessary crew to hang new mesh fence to the posts and Dispose of all wood products. All responsible small businesses that are capable of providing the Government with the items that are listed above may request a copy of the Request for Quote (RFQ) in writing or by FAX to 301-480-8501 to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. It is anticipated that RFQ NIH-NIDDK-07-130 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date is February 4, 2007. Evaluations will be based on Best Value (Past Performance, Price, and Technical Evaluation). Request for copies of the RFQ must be submitted to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, 6707 Democracy Boulevard, Two Democracy Plaza, Room 774B, Bethesda, MD 20817 or via email: griffinv@mail.nih.gov to the Attention: V. Lynn Griffin. FAX quotations must contain offerors name, address, telephone number and fax number. FAX quotations will be accepted if dated and signed by an authorized company representative.
