Description

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE ANNOUNCEMENT TO ASCERTAIN WEBSITE ADDRESS TO DOWNLOAD PROJECT DOCUMENTS AND PROJECT DETAILS BEFORE CALLING FOR INFORMATION. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued but the solicitation will be available on the National Business Center website (http://ideasec.nbc.gov) without further notice on or about Thursday, March 15, 2007. This project consists of the removal of office furniture; removal of old carpeting and padding; surface preparation; installation of new padding, tack strips, and carpeting; and replacement of furniture in the Kirk Street Agents House, Lowell National Historical Park, Lowell, MA. Because the offices in the building shall be occupied during the execution of the carpet replacement contract, Contractor shall be required to sequence the work to provide for minimal disruption of office occupants. Construction performance period is 180 calendar days. Estimated construction range: Between $100,000 and $250,000. NAICS code 238330, $13 million. This solicitation is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is subject to full and open competition. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. This solicitation is a Request for Proposals and offers shall be evaluated on the responses to the following criteria: 1. Technical Approach to Project; 2. Ability and Qualifications to Schedule and Manage a Project of this Nature; 3. Past Experience Working in Historic Buildings; and 4. Past Performance: Demonstrated Ability to Perform Successfully on Projects of Equal or Greater Complexity.
