- VA Connecticut Healthcare System intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, One Gustave L Levy Place, New York, NY 10029 to provide a clinical research coordinator for VA's NCPTSD Resilience Project, which is being conducted at Mt. Sinai. Since this project is being conducted at Mt. Sinai the research coordinator must be an employee of Mt. Sinai. The research coordinator will be responsible for: Editing and preparation of study protocols, consent forms, and HIPAA forms for the MSSM (Mt. Sinai School of Medicine) and VA IRB as related to the NCPTSD Resilience Project; Administrative coordination between  Dr. Steven Southwick, the study investigators, the MSSM Psychiatry Department, IRB at MSSM and VA, the General Clinical Research Center and the West Haven NCPTSD center; Scheduling of participants for screening and testing of the NCPTSD Resilience Project; Data entry and management for the Project; Coordination of study advertisement and recruitment for the Project; etc. This procurement is under the authority of FAR 6.302. Businesses or individuals who feel they may be capable of providing these services shall submit all applicable information to VA Connecticut by March 6, 2007. The information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of VA.
