Description
This requirement is for a firm-fixed price contract with option years for a Ground Handling Lift Trailer applicable to standardized Air Force equipment. This acquisition is for NSN: 1730-01-355-8410, part number: 9383117-1, TO number: 35D30-4-20-1. The trailer incorporates hand operated hydraulics and a maneuverable frame assembly to load non-munitions stores onto F-16s. General characteristics of the item are as follows: overall length ? 69?, overall width ? 54?, overall height ? 24?, weight ? 780 lbs, maximum towing speed ? 10 mph, and maximum load ? 1250 lbs. This requirement will be set-aside 100% for small businesses. It will consist of a first article requirement, test plan requirement, and a test report requirement. First article testing will be conducted at the contractor?s facility, and any performance or other characteristics that must be met are located in the data package. The first article quantity of 1 EA will be included as part of the production quantity. The basic production quantity is 6 EA. The requirement also includes 4 option years each with a quantity of 1-30 EA. Surplus will NOT be accepted for this requirement. All assets will be shipped FOB Origin within the continental United States. Offerors shall prepare their proposals in accordance with mandatory, explicit and detailed instructions contained in the RFP. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The Government will utilize the Past Performance Information Retrieval System (PPIRS), and will evaluate proposals and make award in accordance with the evaluation criteria stated in the RFP. It is anticipated that the RFP will be released on or around 28 February, 2007. The RFP will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities webpage (http://www.fbo.gov/ ). The technical data required to respond to the RFP may be obtained at the FEDTEDS webpage (https://www.fedteds.gov/).
