Description

PRESOLICITATION NOTICE. Back Up Sight, NSN 6650-01-313-8946; P/N 9389400. Item is a five power ballistic periscope, fixed power, daylight, monocular sight. The Back Up Sight has a range estimating capability for sighting and firing the primary wea pon from the electrical stabilized turret of a Bradley Fighting Vehicle. Optics, steel armor castings, cadmium base and paint finish per specifications. The Technical Data Package for this solicitation contains a CLASSIFIED DRAWING. Each bidder must ver ify that they have a Secret Facility clearance in order to obtain this classified drawing. This solicitation is for a five-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract. Solicitation is a 100% Small Business Set-aside. The anticipated maximum ordering quantity over the life of the contract is 2500 each. A First Article Test (FAT) is required. The Government may consider waiving FAT for those contractors that have previously produced this item. FOB DESTINATION. Estimated issue date for soli citation is 13 Mar 2007. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501 and 5.102, therefore hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It i s therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any said amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal non-responsive and result in the rejection of the same.
