Description
The Colorado Fish and Wildlife Assistance Office needs to obtain approximately 4,800 pounds of live catchable rainbow trout (9"-11"), and 650 pounds of 8-12 inch channel catfish. All trout must be whirling disease free, and all fish species must meet Federal and Colorado Division of Wildlife fish health regulations for stocking into designated waters (mainly at Fort Carson, Colorado). Species of Fish: Rainbow Trout (or hybrids of rainbow trout) and Catfish. Any commercial strain is acceptable for rainbow and catfish for 2007. Amount and Size of Fish: Rainbow Trout: from 12 April to 30 August 2007, a total of 4,800 pounds of live rainbow trout will be delivered to Fort Carson. Stocking dates and pounds of fish per stocking dates are listed below. Size should be approximately 10 inches in length, or approximately 2.5 fish per pound. Channel Catfish: 650 pounds of live channel catfish, 8 to 12 inches in length delivered to Fort Carson in early May 2007. Approximate Rainbow Trout Delivery date and Pounds of 10 inch trout to Fort Carson: Date Pounds 11 April 2007 900 2 May 2007 700 23 May 2007 1,000 27 June 2007 1,000 29 August 2007 1,200 Total Pounds of Trout 4,800 Approximate Channel Catfish Delivery date and Pounds of 8 to 12 inch catfish to Fort Carson: Date Pounds 2 May 2007 650 Delivery Costs: Cost of delivering fish to be included in overall cost of the fish. Conditions of Delivery: Fish must be delivered alive and in a condition that allows them to survive and be caught by anglers. Any loss of fish, due to the water quality of the receiving water, is the responsibility of the purchaser. Any fish lost during transportation to Fort Carson, are the vendor's responsibility, and are to be replaced by the vendor. A fish health certificate for the hatchery supplying the fish must accompany your bid. Fish should have minimum fin erosion, although it is acknowledged that some fins will show normal wear asociated with captive rearing.
