Description
This procurement is a HUBZone Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible HUBZone Small Business Concerns may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the U.S. Coast Guard. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS web page on or about March 09, 2007, at http://www/eps/gov/. Please sign up for the Auto Notification Service to receive e-mail from FEDBIZOPPS when an action is taken under this solicitation. THIS COMMERCIAL ITEM REQUIREMENT IS SET-ASIDE FOR HUBZone SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS AND WILL BE EVALUATED USING PAST PERFORMANCE AS THE MOST IMPORTANT EVALUATION FACTOR. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The acquisition is dockside and repair the USCGC JUNIFPER (WLB-201), a 225 Foot A class seagoing buoy tender. The homeport of the vessel is Newport, RI The performance period is Seventy (70) calendar days and is expected to begin on or about 04 June 2007. The scope of the acquisition is for the overhauling, renewing and repairing of various items aboard the USCGC JUNIFPER (WLB-201). This work will include, but is not limited to: Welding Repairs; Hot water Accumulator and Hydro pneumatic tank; Clean and Inspect Exhaust Stacks, Clean Shipboard Vents system, Clean and inspect fuel oil coolers, Inspect various deck fittings, Perform Model RAD30-15, 5 Davit Maintenance, Modify Stern tube cooking water supply system, Perform Buoy Chain Winch Maintenance, Inspect and Overhaul Mechanical Chain stoppers, Preserve Weather Decks , Preserve Deck Machinery, Renew auxiliary saltwater pumps, Repair Fire main Piping. Trained welders, who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures, shall accomplish all welding and brazing. The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters and will be free of charge to contractors upon request [ten days from solicitation issuance]. MLCA must have ten (10) days advance notice to complete a CD-ROM set of drawings. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g.*.DWF, etc). Drawings are still available in hardcopy; however, a non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings.
