- This is a modification to the previous notice. A closing date of March 9, 2007 at 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. A request for quotation is being issued orally for the Repair Kit, 2-Man Combat Tent, NSN: 8340-01-462-6490, as a Small Purchase with the following quantity: 700 Each. There will be two deliveries, with the first delivery beginning (120) says after date of award and the second delivery thirty (30) days thereafter. This solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis. The destinations for the subject item are Defense Depot Barstow, CA and Defense Depot New Cumberland, PA. Submittal of First Article is required sixty (60) days after date of award. Specifications or other applicable documents can be obtained by contacting Brian McGinley by email at Brian.McGinley@dla.mil or FAX at 215-737-3276. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. The Defense appropriations and authorizaion acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as "The Berry Amendment") impose restrictions on the DoD's acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and "specialty metals" (as defined in DFARS clause 252,225-7014), including the materials and components thereof (other than sensors, electronics, or other items added to, and not normally associated with clothing), must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions in Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
