Description
DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS (VA) WANTS TO ACQUIRE A SITE FOR A LEASED OUTPATIENT CLINIC VA desires to lease approximately 1.50 to 2.00 acres of land in Alameda, California, to include a minimum of sixty (60) parking spaces or more if required by zoning. VA will construct a 14,000 gross square feet modular building on the site. VA will also consider acceptance of a donated site. The property must be available for use and have the ability to provide all utility, water and sewer services. The space offered will provide a temporary location for the VA Northern Alameda County Mental Health & Substance Abuse Clinic. Services offered to veterans will include outpatient mental health consultation and methadone treatment. Special consideration will be given for sites on or in close proximity to public transportation. Evidence of proper zoning and city approval shall also be provided. A lease up to 10 years will be considered. To be considered, offered property must be located on the island of Alameda, north of Fernside Boulevard. Offerors must provide evidence that offered properties are outside the 100-year flood plain and contain no wetlands. Brokers or legal representatives submitting property must show written acknowledgement and permission to represent the property. Property owners and developers must provide written proof of ownership or control of property at the time of submission of initial bids. A market survey of offered properties will be conducted by VA staff and broker consultant. Interested offerors (owners, developers, brokers, or their legal representatives) should submit information concerning their properties to the following person and address in writing, via e-mail, or via fax not later than 4:00 P.M., PST, Friday, March 30, 2007.
