Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Contracting Center of Excellence (CCE) on behalf of the Office Chief Army Reserve (OCAR)/United States Army Reserve Command (USARC), Command Sergeant Major (CSM) intends to award a sole source contract to Doubletree Hotel Crystal City, 300 Army Navy Dr ive, Arlington, VA 22202. Doubletree Hotel will provide the meeting room and audio/visual equipment to hold the Command Sergeant Major Leadership Conference scheduled to begin on 22 April 2007. The period of performance for this effort will be for six (6 ) days (22 April through 27 April 2007). The place of performance will be Arlington, VA. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all capability statements received by 10:00 AM on 12 March 2007. A determination by the Government not to compete this propos ed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
