- Description
- This dredging project includes maintenance dredging at the Mouth of the Columbia River and the Columbia River from River Mile 3 to River Mile 105 (non-continuous). Material from the Mouth of the Columbia River will be placed in the Shallow Water Plac ement Site (formerly Site E), North Jetty Site, and the Deep Water Site. Maintenance material from the Columbia River will be placed at designated in-water sites within the Columbia River. The Contractor shall be required to commence work at any time after Notice to proceed to prosecute the work diligently and complete the work not later than September 30, 2007. A Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) shall be provided for all new contracts with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District. For this project, the person that will act as the SSHO is required to have a minimum of 3 years safety work with simil ar projects and a 30 Hour OSHA construction safety class, or equivalent, taken within the last 3 years. The SSHO may have no other duties for this work except the on-site CQC Manager. This solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal, Best Value. Evaluation criteria will be provided in the solicitation. A notice and link to download this solicitation via FedTeDs www.fedteds.gov will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunity website when this solicitation, or (technical data package), is available for download. Any changes and/or updates to this procurement will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunity website: www.fbo.gov. This solicitation will be available to download on our about 01 May 07 with a tentative due date 30 days after issue.
