- This is a sources sought synopsis. This Request For Information (RFI) is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal and should not be construed as a commitment by the Government to award a contract as a result of this request for information. The Government is seeking potential sources, and no-cost product samples, of commercially available and non-developmental airfield surfacing systems for MV-22 Osprey vertical takeoff and landing operations. The airfield surfacing system shall be load bearing in soils with a minimum California Bearing Ratio strength of 10, and be capable of withstanding the effects of the thermal and pressure profiles of the MV-22 aircraft engine downwash and outwash. All interested sources with qualified systems are encouraged to respond to this synopsis to identify their devices, the qualifications and production status no later than 15 May 2007 and should be forwarded to Ms. Letitia Baker, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (Code 252310B562-3), Highway 547, Lakehurst, NJ 08733-5082. Any comments provided may or may not be included in a formal solicitation. Government will not reimburse the respondent for any costs associated with the information submitted in response to this request, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any costs incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. The Government will not release any information marked with a Proprietary legend, received in response to this RFI, to any firms, agencies, or individuals outside the Government without written permission in accordance with the legend.
