Description
Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCCD), intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price purchase order for a Nexsan SATABeast Raid system. The SATABeast shall meet the following specifications: -Minimum storage capacity as delivered greater than 10 Terabytes; -Readily expandable to 40 Terabytes or more in the future; -Scalable by adding more modules, with an ultimate capacity of greater than 200 Terabytes; -Support future 1-Terabyte SATA drivers; -100 percent Compatible with existing Windows 2003 and Solaris systems; -Support RAID levels 5, 6, and 10; -Hot-swappable, global hot-spares with automatic failover; -Fibre-Channel interface; -Hardware compatible with the current Nexsan systems; -High reliability as data center must be operational 24x7. The Nexsan SATABeast is the only system currently on the market that meets all of the stated requirements. No other product provided the required level of scalability or expansion potential without the purchase of additional, costly hardware. Delivery is to be no later than 30 days after receipt of the order (ARO). Delivery is to be FOB destination NSWCCD, Bayview, ID. Award will be conducted on a competitive basis using FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This procurement is 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS is 334112 and size standard is 750 employees. All responsible sources may submit a quote that will be considered by the agency, The Request for Quotation (RFQ) N00167-07-Q-5056 is anticipated to be issued on or about March 20, 2007 and can be accessed via the following websites: http://www.fedbizopps.gov or https://www.neco.navy.mil.
