Description
This special notice is posted to provide answers submitted for questions concerning Operations Sand Castle FY07 at The NTC Fort Irwin, CA Requirements #1, 2,3,5,6 and 7. Questions and answers are as follows: 1. Will the military be providing generators for electricity? ANSWER: No, this is a contract requirement 2. Will the gray water produced from the Laundry trailers and Shower trailers be permitted to be drained on the ground or does the government require that all gray water be held in a holding tank then disposed of at an approved disposal site. ANSWER: No, there is a leech field at the site that was used last year. 1. Will the delivery site have a adequate water source to supply all of the trailers you are requesting? 1a. If not will you need water delivery services? 2. Will the delivery site have sewer connections for all of the trailers? 2a. If not will you need sewage disposal services? 2b. If sewage disposal services are needed, can the sewage be disposed of into the base treatment plant? 3. Will the delivery site have adequate electrical power to run all of the trailers? 3a. If not will you require rental generator(s)? 4. Will you be providing housekeeping services and supplies for all the trailers? 1- The water source is approximately a mile away from the FOB. The site does need water delivery services. Please provide a quote with and without water delivery in your quote. 2- The FOB has a leach field for gray water (shower & laundry trailers) The black water generated from the restroom trailer will have to be disposed of at the base treatment plant approximately four miles away in the cantonment area on post. 3- Trailers will have to pull their power from rented generators. Please provide a quote with and without power generation. 4- Yes, Soldiers are responsible for cleaning the trailers. 1. Is there onsite water, sewer, power and propane? 2. If not, will you require the above to be provided by the contractor; maintained daily? 1. Is there onsite water, sewer, power and propane? ANSWER: No, the nearest potable water source is over one and half miles away. Sewer point is 4 miles away, power and propane are the responsibility of the contractor 2. If not, will you require the above to be provided by the contractor; maintained daily?
