Description

Contractor shall be responsible for all equipment, labor, materials and supplies for the following two projects: 1. REHABILITATION OF LAFAYETTE LODGE: Project comprises the rehabilitation of Lafayette Lodge located along H Street, within Lafayette Park, President's Park, for the National Capital Region, National Park Service Washington, DC.. Project is the major rehabilitation of restroom facility. Work includes all plumbing, electrical and mechanical site work as well as accessibility upgrades. 2. REHABILITATION OF SIX FOUNTAINS IN PRESIDENT'S PARK: Work for this portion of the project includes the rehabilitation of six fountains located in President's Park, for the National Capital Region, National Park Service Washington, DC.. 3. REQUIREMENTS: a. All work should be performed by a firm having not less than five (5) years successful experience in comparable work for at least three (3) structures listed on the National Register of Historic Places, or qualified to be listed in the National Register of Historic Places, and employing personnel skilled in the restoration processes and operations indicated. b. Construct work sequentially in stages to accommodate public activities held within the park and activities at the White House during the construction period; coordinate construction schedule and operations with Contracting Officer's Representative. Complete each stage of construction in its entirety prior to commencing the next. Stages of Construction are to be coordinated with work on the fountains that will be going on simultaneously within Lafayette Park. 4. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: a. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238990. The estimated mangitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. b. The solicitation will be available at http:ideasec.nbc.gov Website on or about 28 March 2007. TELEPHONE OR FAX REQUEST FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Contractors must register on the website in order to retrieve copies of the solicitation and any possible admendment.
