- The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Infantry Combat Equipment Program Office, Quantico, VA, requires a Running Suit using commercial market fabrics that will allow Marines to be comfortable and engage in physical training in all types of weather. The suit will be comprised of a jacket and matching pant suitable for Marines to wear while training or on liberty. The design must also be compatible with other PT uniform items that comprise the complete PT uniform system currently in the sea bag which include the following (but are not inlcuded in this procurement): a synthetic olive drab t-shirt, olive drab physical training shorts, olive drab cotton sweatshirt and sweatpants. Running Suits must be capable of wicking moisture, use lightweight materials that incorporate reflective properties, possess antimicrobial characteristics and provide for a wide range of movement. Additionally, the suit must be breathable, quick drying, machine washable, water resis tant and provide improved durability properties in material and in design features. The requirement will be for 50,000 sets (jacket and pants) during the basic contract period plus options for an additional quantity of 199,998 sets. This procurement is being issued as a total small businesses set aside. The NAICS code is 315211 with a size standard of 500. Small and large businesses may elect to partner to leverage the latter?s design, capacity, or other capabilities, and may submit an offer under the set-aside as long as the restrictions of FAR 52.219-14 Limitations on Subcontracting are met. Request for Proposal (RFP) M67854-07-R-3021 will be posted on the internet at the Federal Business Opportunities website located at the following address: http://www.fedbizopps.gov, and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) website at http://www.neco.navy.mil. The on-line version of the RFP will include all documents of the solicitation package. No hard copy of this RFP will be issued. Amendments, if any, will be posted at the same l ocation as the solicitation. The complete solicitation package, including amendments, should be received and reviewed prior to submitting a response. The proposal shall be submitted in hard copy form only. No electronic submission of proposals will be accepted. It is the responsibility of those responding to the solicitation to obtain all amendments and/or other applicable documents. It is anticipated that this solicitation will be issued on or about 16 March 2007. Please hold all questions until the solicitation has been issued.
