- The U.S. Department of Transportation (U.S. DOT) National Highway, Traffic, and Safety Administration (NHTSA) intends to award an Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC), on a Time and Materials contract for a base period of two (2) years. The contract will also include a provision by which up to one (1) option three years period can be exercised resulting in a total possible period of performance of five (5) years. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) (an operating administration within the United States Department of Transportation) is responsible for reducing the number of injuries and deaths on the highways resulting from vehicle crashes. In support of this mission NHTSA is requiring the services for the effort entitled, Vehicle Purchasing Contract for Frontal and Side New Car Assessment Program (NCAP). The contractor must purchase new vehicles for NCAP and provide on-time delivery to NCAP crash testing laboratories listed below. In each task order, vehicle specification, test date, delivery time & date, storage requirements, and deliverable requirement will be provided. Meeting all requirements in a timely manner is essential in this task. Locations of vehicle crash testing laboratories are: MGA - 5000 Warren Rd Burlington, WI 53105 Karco - 9270 Holly Rd Adelanto, CA 92301 Calspan - PO Box 400 Buffalo NY 14225 Transportation Research Center Inc - 10820 State Route 347 East Liberty, OH 43319 Medical College Wisconsin -5000 West National Avenue Milwaukee, WI Notwithstanding, any firm who believes it is capable of meeting NHTSA's requirement as stated herein, may submit a response, which if received within 15 calendar days of the date of this announcement will be considered as a source. Responses to this posting must be in writing. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested persons should identify their capability to perform these services by submitting a one to two page proposal in writing, outlining those aforementioned capabilities. A determination not to compete the proposed contract based upon the responses/proposals to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
