Description
The purpose of this synopsis is to notify industry that an Other than Full and Open Competition ( Brand Name) acquisition will be conducted for Remedy Software Licenses and software maintenance and support, for the period a period beginning 1 March 2 007 for one year, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1. The contractor shall provide Commercial Off the Self Software (COTS) licenses and software maintenance and support and will provide Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCO M) operational tools to communicate all phases of Network Operations (NETOPs) Reporting, Tasking Orders and Requests for Information to NETCOM command and subordinate units, all other Army components and DoD compenents. A standardized COTS software is re quired for trouble ticket management for network operations for the NETCOM to track and manage mission critical services, communications network events, outages, restoration and request for network services. Additional functionality is required to support emerging requirements for NETCOM to support Information Technology Service Consolidation, Area Processing Center and Network Service Center concepts and requirements. License Software upgrade and maintenance capabilities are required to provide enhanced Service Desk capabilities for the Configuration Management Data Base/Service Desk (CMDB/SD) System to include Incident/Problem, Change, Asset, and Service Level Management (SLM) providing an integrated view of all aspects of incidents, problems, assets, se rvices, and customers. The current requirements are covered under various contracts and have been performed by multiple BMC authorized resellers. Closing date for comments is 16 March 2007.
