Description
The Communications-Engineering Research, Development and Engineering Center's Space and Terrestrial Communications Directorate will be hosting an Industry Day on Thursday, 22 March 2007. The purpose of this Industry Day is to make industry, as well other Government agencies, aware of the existence and availability of technologies developed in support of the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Handheld, Manpack and Small Form Fit (HMS) Radios. The Affordable Software Defined Radio (SDR) Components for JTRS Army Technology Objective - Manufacturing (ATO-M) is a Manufacturing Technology (ManTech) effort initiated to reduce the risks of the JTRS HMS Small Form Fit (SFF) development. The SDR JTRS AT O-M is focused on reducing the Size, Weight and Power - Cost (SWAP-C) of the SFF core transceiver. The core transceiver will be reused throughout all variants of the JTRS SFF and therefore allows this ManTech effort to make the greatest possible impact on SWAP-C for the overall JTRS program. The SDR JTRS ATO-M began in FY03 and has been working on four technology areas that relate to the core transceiver; Chip Scale Packaging (CSP) for the baseband processor, a 10W power amplifier based on GaN, wideband tunable RF filters, and an RF Integrated Circuit (RFIC) chipset. Great strides have been made in these technology areas and the SDR MTO would like to make industry as well as the government aware of their existence and availability. The SDR JTRS ATO-M Industry Day will be held at the Myer Center of Ft. Monmouth, NJ on Thursday, 22 March 2007. Questions of a technical nature should be addressed to Lisa Rulli at 732-427-4646 or lisa.rulli@us.army.mil. Attached is the Visitors Access For m required for non-government visitors at Fort Monmouth. Please RSVP to June Zimmerman at 732-427-2762 or june.natalie.zimmerman@us.army.mil by COB 16 March 2007.
