- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 15 intends to negotiate a commercial sole source contract with Philips Medical Systems, 22100 Bothell Everett Highway, Bothell, Washington 98021 under the authority FAR 6.302-1 and FAR 13.501. This procurement is to obtain service and maintenance for the Philips IntelliVueBedside Monitoring System located at the Kansas City VA Medical Center, 4801 Linwood Blvd., Kansas City, Missouri 64128. A near 0% down time is required of all equipment covered by this requirement. From a liability standpoint, the subject equipment is required to provide continuous patient monitoring in order to provide quality patient care. A lack of continuous monitoring places an added liability on the Kansas City VA Medical Center. The base period of service will be from April 1, 2007 through September 30, 2007 and up to four (4) Option Years after the base period. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposal based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
