Description

The following is provided as updated status on the CFT source selection: As a result of further reviews, it has been decided that the transition cost as originally set up in the draft RFP issued on 28 Nov 2006 will be revised. In the formal RFP to be issued TBD, the transition cost CLIN will be removed as originally proposed. It has been decided not to evaluate proposed transition costs for each task order on a normal basis. The Government will reserve the right to create criteria for evaluating proposed impacts of transition costs on select task orders when in the best interest of the Government. It has been decided to consider increasing the target award pool on the full and open portion to 5 contracts (or however many are in the best interest of the Government). The source selection team is scheduled to travel to Washington, D.C. on March 16 to attend an updated briefing to OSD/DPAP with the goal of resolving all outstanding issues and proceeding to final authority clearance from OSD/AT&L to issue the formal RFP. At this point an early May 2007 release date is tentatively anticipated. This is the most accurate information available at this time, and is subject to change. We will keep everyone advised as things change.
