Description

Issuance of solicitation package has been delayed. We expect to issued the IFB on or about March 14, 2007. Bids will be opened no sooner than 30 calendar days after actual solicitation issuance date. Construction Project: McNary Transformer Banks T-6 and T-7 Installation. The work is located at McNary Dam, Umatilla County, Oregon, on the Columbia River. This work involves uninstalling and removing 3 each, 230 kV transformers and 3 each, 115 kV transformers. The old transformers will be replac ed with 6 new Government supplied transformers under this contract. The transformers are to be removed from the transformer vaults located on top of McNary Dam and taken off the project for disposal by the contractor. The transformers are currently in us e. Each 230 kV transformer weighs 175, 700 pounds without oil and has approx. 9,400 gallons of transformer oil. Each 115 kV transformer weighs 124,640 pounds and has approx 6,200 gallons of oil. The oil shall be removed and disposed of before the transf ormers are moved from the transformer vaults. The new transformers are in storage at the dam. The Contractor shall move and install the new transformers into the vaults that the old transformers were in. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Invitation for Bids No. W912EF-07-B-0011 will be posted to the FedTeDS website on or about March 14 , 2007. Bids will be opened no sooner than 30 calendar days after actual solicitation issuance date.
