- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City, 110 Vernon Avenue, Panama City, Florida intends to solicit BRP US Inc., 10101 Science Drive, Sturtevant, WI 53177-1757 on a sole source basis for the purchase of three (3) each 55 HP Multi-fuel Outboard Engines and one lot of spare parts to support testing of these engines. Under DoD directive 1440.25, all engines planed to be inserted into the DoD system are required to burn kerosene based fuel. NSWC PC has been tasked by USSOCOM to test and evaluate three off-the-shelf 55 HP non-gasoline burning outboard engines manufactured by BRP US, Inc. If the engine passes the test requirements, it will be inserted into the SOF inventory in 2010. USSOCOM has an additional requirement which states the Multi-fuel Engine must be off the shelf. No engines will be accepted that are not available off the shelf. BRP US, Inc. is the only manufacturer currently with a commercially available non-gasoline burning outboard engine. Delivery will be to the Naval Support Activity - Panama City, Receiving Officer, Building 100, 101 Vernon Avenue, Panama City, FL 32407-7018. A firm-fixed-price order is anticipated. Award will be based on the written quotation. Anticipated award date will be on or about March 20, 2007. NAICS Code 336312 applies. FSC is 2010. SBA Size Standard is 750 Employees.
