- Description
- This is a 100% set-aside procurement for SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. NAICS Code is 812930 and the small business size standard is $6.5M. The VAPHS has a requirement for valet parking services at the University Drive C (Oakland) facility 15240 and at the Highland Drive facility, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh 15206; to alleviate the severe parking problems and traffic congestion experienced at the University Drive facility. The comprehensive hours of the valet parking operation at University Drive shall be from 5:30AM - 6:00PM Monday through Friday and will include Lot 1 (Front circle, patient parking), Lot 6 (police parking) and Lot 7 (employee parking). The contractor will address approximately 750 vehicles per day in the main circle parking area, which is scheduled to be impacted by roadway construction in May or June, 2007. Est. 500 vehicles will be parked daily by the contractor with the remaining vehicles self-parked or displaced to other lots. High-density assisted/valet parking will be performed in Lot #7 to accommodate VA employees. At the Highland Drive facility, Lot D and Lot S will accommodate displaced University Drive employees and special events, Monday through Friday with hours TBD. The forthcoming solicitation will describe the complete statement of work for this contract. Only SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS ("SDVOSB") FIRMS will be considered for award. SDVOSB for this purpose means a small business concern (a) not less than 51% of which is owned by one or more service-disabled veterans or, in the case of any publicly owned business, not less than 51 percent of the stock of which is owned by one or more service disabled veterans and (b) the management and daily business operations of which are controlled by one or more service-disabled veterans or, in the case of a service-disabled veteran with permanent and severe disability, the spouse or permanent caregiver of such veteran. "Service-disabled veteran" means a veteran, as defined in 38 USC 101(2), with a disability that is service-connected, as defined in 38 USC 101(16). Estimated solicitation issue date is March 19, 2007. Exact proposal due date is to be determined, but is estimated to be o/a April 16 2007. Estimated contract period is May 1, 2007 through December 31, 2007 (with the Government option to extend services as needed for up to an additional six months).
