Description

The U.S. Geological Survey, BRD, Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center (UMESC), 2630 Fanta Reed Road, La Crosse, WI 54603 plans to make a non-competitive award via written request for quotation No. 07ER42-No Solicitation number to Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL To provide Mississippi River System hydrologic and geospatial data for the UMESC repository. SPRG has compiled extensive hydrologic and geospatial databases for navigable portions of the Mississippi, Missouri and Illinois River systems. SPRG's databases would closely compliment and add significantly to existing UMESC data holdings. The purpose of this repository will be to serve data sets compiled by SPRG through the UMESC repository so that research, management, policymakers and public interest with the Mississippi River Basin can be furthered. The processed data are only available from SPRG, funding for this project will provide resources to SPRG to transfer these prodigious geospatial and hydrologic data resources to UMESC. U.S. Geological Survey anticipates awarding this to Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The anticipated award date is 03/19/2007, under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold for commercial items. NAICS is 541370. Responses to this notice must be submitted to http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Via e-mail to: abenton@usgs.gov by 03/16/2007. No additional synopsis will be published.
