- Description
- Z-Obtain elevator inspection, testing, certification, and preventative maintenance/repair services by means of a Firm Fixed Price Lump Sum Type Contract with some/Indefinite Quantity. Work shall be in accordance with the performanced based specification and development and implementation of an integrative maintenance plan. The Contractor shall obtain all required permits, licenses and authorizations to comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. The Contractor shall be licensed by the State of Maine to provide services as listed herein. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, transportation, supervision, management, tools, materials, facilities, incidental engineering and other items necessary to perform the services described herein. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238290 and the size standard is $13,000,000. This requirement is unrestricted. The Base Year performance period will be for twelve months, beginning no earlier than 15 days after notice of award. The Contract has the provision for four option periods not to exceed a total of 60 months. The location of services is at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, ME; Brunswick Naval Air Station, Brunswick, Maine and DFAS Limestone, Limestone, ME. Other Government Facilities such as, but not limited to those throughout the New England and New York area may be incorporated. The majority of the work is located at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Award will be made to the lowest priced technically acceptable and responsible offeror. In accordance with FAR 5.102(d), all solicitation documents will be limited to electronic medium using Adobe Acrobat (pdf) file format. The address for downloading this solicitation from the INTERNET is http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. The solicitation will be available approximately April 6, 2007. Downloading from the Internet is free of charge, however some specifications may take a considerable amount of time to download. All prospective offerors are encouraged to register for the solicitation prior to downloading it from the ESOL website. Notification of any changes to this solicitation (amendments) shall be made from the ESOL website. Other instructions are available at this website including pre-proposal conference and site visit information. Only registered contractors will be notified by e-mail when amendments to the solicitation are issued. Official Plan holders list will be maintained on and can be printed from the website. Plan holders lists will not be faxed and will only be available from the website. All contractors are required to register in the Department of Defense (DOD) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Failure to register in the CCR makes an offeror ineligible for award of DOD contracts. Information regarding this registration may be obtained by accessing the website at http://www.ccr.gov. Contract may be place on Emall and Contractors will be required to accept Government Purchase Cards along with the purchase of DOD Emall Encryped Software. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. An estimated planned award date is no later than September 15, 2007.
