Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY (RFI) AND YOUR RESPONSE IS NOT AN OFFER. A CONTRACT WILL NOT RESULT FROM THIS RFI. THIS RFI DOES NOT COMMIT THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY ANY COSTS INCURRED IN PREPARATION OF ANY SUBMISSION TO THIS MARKET SURVEY, OR TO CONTRACT FOR SERVICES. The U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Infantry Weapons Systems, Quantico, Virginia, is issuing this REQUEST FOR INFORMATION notice for interested contractors capable of providing a Foreign Weapons Package consisting of the following weapons, ammunition, and support equipment (final quantities will be in future solicitation): 1. Foreign weapons, each with all ancillary equipment (i.e. slings magazines, cleaning gear, special tool and/or gauges etc). Contractor must be able to provide technical manuals (operator and maintenance) in English and conforming to the current military standards for technical publications (SG-1A, United States Marine Corps Style Guide and MIL-HDBK-1221, DoD Handbook Evaluation of COTS Manuals). a. Live Fire Capable Weapons consisting of: AK-47 1111 ea, AK-74 539 ea, RPD 561 ea, PKM 561 ea, SVD 311 ea, G3 561 ea, FNFAL 561 ea. b. Inert/Training Device Weapons consisting of: RPG7 299 ea, RPG22 59 ea, Russian 82mm Mortar System 13 ea, DShK 13 ea. 2. A repair parts list for each foreign weapon. List must include part numbers, nomenclature, and unit price. Provide a recommended parts block required to sustain the readiness of the weapons based on historical data. 3. Key personnel and instructor (KP&I) training (20 personnel for operator training and 10 personnel for maintenance training), to be conducted at MCB, Quantico, VA. Provide a cost break down per person. 4. Ammunition consisting of: 7.62x39mm ball 905,448 rd, 7.62x54Rmm ball 1,039,208 rd, 7.62x54Rmm tracer 159,690 rd, 7.62x51mm ball 2,506,408 rd. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Codes are 332992 Small Ammunition Mfg, 332993 Ammunition (except small arms) Mfg, 332994 Small Arms Mfg, and 332995 Other Ordnance and Accessories Mfg. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements by providing electronically their commercial/non-developmental brochures or other literature as well as cost and availability data for the above weapons and support services to Margaret Norris at Margaret.Norris.ctr@usmc.mil no later than 5:00 pm local time on 23MAR07.
