- Description
- The General Services Administration is accepting bids from small businesses for the furnishing and installation of a pre-engineered, wet chemical extinguishing hood system that will provide coverage to commercial food heat-processing appliance (cooking range), to be installed at the snack bar at the Brownsville Federal Courthouse (TX0316ZZ) in Brownsville, Texas, Solicitation Number GS-07P-07-UK-M-0056. The point of contact is David Matthews, Contract Specialist, 7PMO, 817-978-0229. The project consists of all demolition and alterations necessary to provide a pre-engineered wet chemical extinguishing hood system, in accordance with the requirements of NFPA 17A. All materials, equipment, installation and set-up shall be in accordance with the contract specifications, all current codes, construction regulations and laws applicable for design, construction, transport and safety requirements. The contractor shall be responsible for all quantities, measurements, correct installation of all items and for any damages to the building, parked vehicles and surrounding areas. Additionally, all materials, equipment and supplies to be incorporated into this work under the terms of this contract shall be new and unused at the time of award. The estimated cost of this award is between $60,000.00 and $80,000.00. The solicitation issue date will be on Tuesday, March 27, 2007. A pre-bid conference will be held on Monday April 2, 2007 at 10:00 am at the GSA Conference Room in the Brownsville Federal Courthouse Conference, located at 600 East Harrison, Brownsville, Texas. Bids for this project will be due on Friday, April 13, 2007. Interested contractors are encouraged to attend the pre-bid walk-through, as well as to verify all existing conditions at the job site prior to bidding on the project. Failure to attend the pre-bid conference will not relieve the contractor of the responsibility to properly estimate the cost of this project. Any responsible firm may respond to this solicitation; however, in order to be awarded this project, interested contractors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration system, at www.ccr.gov. Early registration with this system is encouraged in order to expedite any award that may be made. Additionally, this work will require the winning contractor to obtain employee security clearances by completing one (1) copy of the SF-85P and two (2) copies of fingerprint cards for each employee working on the premises. Security clearance paperwork will need to be turned in within five (5) days of contract award.
