Description

Classification Code: Q -- Medical services Description Contractor shall provide the professional services of two (2) certified cardiothoracic perfusionists to perform necessary open-heart pump services for open-heart surgery and cell saver services at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, 1481 West 10th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. The perfusionists will be required to perform pre and post operative evaluations. Coverage will be 24/7. Payments for any leave, including any sick leave or vacation time, are the responsibility of the contractor. This procurement is unrestricted; all qualified, responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered by the agency. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 621399 and its size standard of $6.5 Million apply. The solicitation shall be made available on or about March 16, 2007 with a due date of April 12, 2007 by 3:00 p.m. local time.  Copies of the solicitation may be obtained at no charge at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ Dissemination is limited to electronic medium and the VA will provide no hard copies.  Any amendments issued to this solicitation will also be available at the URL address.  Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments.  The resulting contract shall be awarded to the offeror who provides the best overall value to the Government. The term of the contract shall be from date of award through September 30, 2007, with four (4), one year options. No telephone requests will be accepted.
