Description

NOTE: THIS SOLICITATION IS INTENDED ONLY FOR JAPANESE LOCAL VENDOR. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, transportation, supervision, set-up services, initial training, and all other items and services necessary to provide and install a Gas Chromatograph (GC) system to U.S. Army Garrison Japan, Camp Zama. The GC is required for measurements of PCB, Alkyl Mercury and Organic Phosphorus Compounds in aqueous solution. Typical use of the GC at the Environmental Division Laboratory is the quantitative analyses of environmental samples. The GC system must be capable of analysis using GC methods, which are specified under the Environmental Quality Standards for Water Pollution. PCB: Japan Ministry of the Attached Table 3, Japan Environment Agency?s Guidance No. 59 and JIS K 0093, Gas Chromatograph Method. Alkyl Mercury: Japan Ministry of the Attached Table 2, Japan Environment Agency?s Guidance No. 59 Gas Chromatograph Method. Organic Phosphorus Compounds: Japan Ministry of the Attached Table 1, Japan Environment Agency?s Guidance No. 64 Gas Chromatograph Method. Injection Unit: Select form 2 types of ECD (Electron Capture Detector) and FPD (Flame Photometric Detector) injection units. Column Oven: The column oven must have an operating range of 35oC to 400oC or wider. The oven must minimally be; capable of programmable multiple heating ramp rates; able to increase the temperature from 50oC to 400oC and cool-down from 400oC to 50o in less than 10 minutes; temperature stability within 0.1oC of actual temperature. Detector: Select form 2 types of ECD (Electron Capture Detector, Certificated ECD with indication.) and FPD (Flame Photometric Detector) detector units. Packed column analysis is support.
